Founded in 2002, Typhoon Gaming identified a problem in the legacy totalisator market and developed Typhoon, a software platform that incorporates modern development methodologies and Java language. Completed in 2009, the company signed a license deal with the New Zealand Racing Board (NZRB) for their Helix project and won a competitive tender to secure Tote Tasmania as a customer for Typhoon in 2011.
Typhoon Gaming has now released T2, a second version of Typhoon, which it will license to customers via a source code arrangement, backed up with a knowledge transfer programme and support services. T2 incorporates totalisator and fixed odds functionality as well as a range of external applications for reporting, testing, player controls and distribution channels including point of sale, web, mobile, social gaming and APIs.
